Marion County let Sequatchie County stack five runs on them in the seventh inning on Sunday but luckily Marion County prevailed anyway. The Warriors walked away with an 8-5 win over the Indians. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly three runs.
Zade Pemberton was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Caden McCrary, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
The victory made it two in a row for Marion County and bumps their season record up to 19-14. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Sequatchie County, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 20-10.
