Recap: Warren Warriors vs. O'Connor Panthers

The Warren Warriors lost against the O'Connor Panthers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Warren was outmatched by O'Connor on the road and fell 70-39. Warren was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.

When it comes to explaining why Warren lost, one person who can't be blamed is Marcel Ellison. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Petersen, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.

O'Connor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Bledsoe led the charge by scoring 21 points. Julian Barron was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Warren has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-23 record this season. As for O'Connor, they pushed their record up to 19-12 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Stevens the next time they take the court. O'Connor will head out to face Stevens at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Warren will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
