Baseball Recap: Liberty Christian Makes It 14 in a Row on the Road

Liberty Christian strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Rustburg Red Devils by a score of 6-2. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Devils, too.

Josh Hall was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hall was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bryce Torres, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Eston Tanner was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Liberty Christian's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Rustburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
