Recap: Sequoyah Chiefs vs. East Forsyth Broncos
The Sequoyah Chiefs put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 51-47 W over East Forsyth. Given Sequoyah's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while East Forsyth is ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Milanni Abdus-salaam, who scored 16 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. The match was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carly Bass, who scored 16 points.
Sequoyah's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for East Forsyth, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Sequoyah will head out on the road to face off against Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Forsyth, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Madison County at 7:00 p.m.
