Basketball Recap: Harbor Beach Extends Winning Streak to Four

Harbor Beach won the last time they faced Caro and things went their way on Friday too. The Harbor Beach Pirates enjoyed a cozy 51-35 win over the Caro Tigers. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Tigers are ranked 395th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Caro lost, don't look at Connor McGarry. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Kocher, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Caro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Harbor Beach didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-41 win against Croswell-Lexington on the 16th. As for Caro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-33 loss against Bad Axe on the 18th.
