Soccer Game Preview: Carroll vs. Long

Carroll has gone a perfect 3-0 against Long recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Carroll Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Long Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Carroll didn't have quite enough to beat Dale County and fell 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Long unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Dale County on Monday, falling 5-1. The Rebels have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Carroll now has a losing record at 1-2-1. As for Long, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Carroll took their win against Long in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1. In that match, Carroll amassed a halftime lead of 3-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
