Baseball Game Preview: Pinnacle Panthers vs. Wayne Badgers

Pinnacle hasn't had much luck against Wayne recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will welcome the Badgers at 3:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pinnacle came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Tintic, falling 18-4.

Brody Howell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Domonick Hiutt, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Wayne lost 9-3 to Altamont on Saturday.

RJ Pauu made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Pauu is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Wayne now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Pinnacle, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Pinnacle has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wayne struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
