Cottage Hill Christian Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Theodore, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Cottage Hill Christian Academy was the clear victor by a 17-9 margin over Theodore on Tuesday. Madison Brown was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up eight earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.
In other batting news, Paislei Daughtery was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lallie Hays, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Cottage Hill Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Theodore, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
Coming up, Cottage Hill Christian Academy will be playing at home against Flomaton at 5:00 p.m. on April 3. As for Theodore, they are taking a road trip to take on Blount at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
