Baseball Recap: Randolph Comes Up Short

Randolph fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Falconer on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golden Falcons by a score of 7-6. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Falcons earlier this season, when they won 11-8.

Aiden Taylor was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Connor Braley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Randolph's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Falconer, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Randolph will face off against Franklinville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Falconer, they will challenge Ellicottville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
