West Haven is 6-1 against Cheshire since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. West Haven is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.6 points per game this season.

West Haven blew Fairfield Prep out of the water the last time the pair played, but last Friday Fairfield Prep got their revenge. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Jesuits by a score of 17-14. The contest marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Although West Haven took the loss, they still got scores from Trew Kitson and Aaron Johnson.

Meanwhile, Cheshire faced Hand in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. The Rams pulled ahead with a 28-27 photo finish over the Tigers.

West Haven's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2. As for Cheshire, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for West Haven against Cheshire in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 30-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
