Basketball Recap: Lyman's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lyman came into Tuesday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past the Circle Christian Centurions with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 60-43. The matchup marked the Greyhounds' most dominant win of the season.

Leading Lyman to victory were Joseph Lewis III and Kameron Mccall. Lewis III went 9 of 13 en route to 21 points, while Mccall dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Austin-Wallace, who posted six points and eight assists.

Lyman was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Lyman's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Circle Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Lyman and Circle Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Lyman (ranked 497th) will meet Winter Springs (ranked 223rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Circle Christian (ranked 711th) will meet Faith Christian (ranked 235th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
