Baseball Recap: North Florida Christian's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

North Florida Christian extended their postseason success on Tuesday against St. John Paul II. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted against the Panthers since March 7, 2023.

Jace Riggan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of North Florida Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-3 (and 5-13 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack McFarland, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
