Football Game Recap: Leavenworth vs. Lansing

Lansing fell to Leavenworth 6-13 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Lansing were the clear victor by a 49-19 margin over Leavenworth. Lansing were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

After a totally unproductive first quarter, the Lansing offense stepped up its game and put 14 points on the board in the second quarter. Meanwhile, Leavenworth couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 14-0 heading into the break. Lansing put the contest away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and six points allowed from the defense. The win bumped their record up to 2-3. The defeat dropped Leavenworth's record to 1-4.

Lansing will be playing at home against Harmon at at 7:00 PM next week. Unlike Lansing, Harmon will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Leavenworth, they will face off against Shawnee Heights.
