Football Recap: Prairie Heights Takes a Loss

Prairie Heights had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it five. They were beaten by the West Noble Chargers 42-6. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Chargers are ranked 95th).

WESTON RASLER threw for 84 yards on nine of 14 attempts. JOEL GRABER was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards.

As for West Noble, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

West Noble got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trey Shisler out in front who threw for 218 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes. Those 218 passing yards gave Shisler a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Xy'Mire Barnes-Bridges, who rushed for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries.

Prairie Heights and West Noble are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Panthers will head out to face off against Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Noble, they will be playing at home against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will be up against the Cadets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.56 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
