Basketball Game Preview: Waxahachie Indians vs. Cedar Hill Longhorns

The Waxahachie Indians will square off against the Cedar Hill Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waxahachie knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Cedar Hill likes a good challenge.

Waxahachie is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since February 2, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-63 victory over Horn.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cedar Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Mesquite by a score of 80-72 on Friday. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Skeeters are ranked 416th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cedar Hill's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Waxahachie, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.

Waxahachie didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cedar Hill in their previous matchup on January 3rd, but they still walked away with a 73-67 win. Does Waxahachie have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cedar Hill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
