Basketball Recap: Trenton Comes Up Short

Trenton played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Tom Bean Tomcats, falling 52-22. The Tigers were down 37-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Maguire Poole went supernova for Tom Bean, going 8 for 16 en route to 19 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Poole a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Lind, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Trenton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season. As for Tom Bean, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-10.

Trenton has already played their next game (against Bland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tom Bean will take on Honey Grove at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
