Basketball Recap: East Central Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East Central can now relate to. They fell 70-61 to the Braham Bombers on Saturday. The Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Braham's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Eklund, who posted 25 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Eklund is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Soren Lilly was another key player, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 15 boards.

East Central's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Braham, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

East Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Braham, they will challenge Upsala at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Upsala sitting on five straight victories and Braham on three.
