Recap: Winchester Community Golden Falcons vs. Randolph Southern Rebels
The Winchester Community Golden Falcons won the last time they faced the Randolph Southern Rebels, and things went their way on Thursday too. Winchester Community walked away with a 37-30 win over Randolph Southern. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Winchester Community.
Despite the loss, Randolph Southern saw an underclassman step up: Haileigh Allen scored 11 points along with six blocks. That was a full 36.7% of Randolph Southern's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Winchester Community has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Randolph Southern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-6.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Anderson Prep Academy the next time they take the court. Winchester Community will head out to face Anderson Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Randolph Southern will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
