Football Recap: Mt. Pleasant Falls Short Against Ranked Burrillville + How To Watch

Mt. Pleasant faced Burrillville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Kilties lost 35-12 to the Broncos. The Kilties were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Jamal Jackson threw for 101 yards and a pair of TDs. On the ground, Jordan Robertson rushed for 74 yards.

Burrillville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Johnson out in front who rushed for 49 yards and two scores. Clayton Charette was another key rusher, rushing for 61 yards and one touchdown.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Burrillville, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Mt. Pleasant and Burrillville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Kilties are set to challenge their familiar foe Woonsocket at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Burrillville will square off against rival Barrington at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
