Narrows had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Eastern Montgomery on Monday. The Green Waves blew past the Mustangs 11-1. Considering the Green Waves have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Narrows' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Eastern Montgomery, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4-1.

Coming up, Eastern Montgomery will square off against Bland County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Narrows will be paying especially close attention to the Mustangs' matchup: after the Mustangs face off against Parry McCluer, they'll take on Narrows again at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
