Softball Recap: Lowell Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lowell can now relate to. They lost 12-2 to the Durham Trojans on Tuesday. The Cardinals were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but the Trojans' pitchers proved too tough.

With the defeat, Lowell broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-14. As for Durham, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-10.

Lowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Durham, they are taking a road trip to face off against Le Grand at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.9, the Bulldogs 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
