Basketball Recap: Marlette Comes Up Short

Marlette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 45-20 to the Sandusky Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Red Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Wolves are ranked 56th).

Marlette's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Sandusky, their victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Marlette has already played their next game, a 43-22 defeat against Ubly on the 23rd. As for Sandusky, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-33 win against Brown City on the 23rd.
