Volleyball Recap: Alvarado Takes a Loss

Alvarado extended their losing streak to nine on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-11. They came up short against the Cleburne Yellowjackets, falling 3-0. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Cleburne, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-11. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 15th (when they won 3-0).

Leading Cleburne to victory were Haley Price and Adeline Leifeste. Price had 25 assists and eight digs, while Leifeste had seven digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Leifeste a new career-high.

Coming up, Alvarado will head out to face off against Maypearl at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cleburne, they will host Brewer at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
