Baseball Game Preview: Cloverleaf Colts vs. St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish

The Cloverleaf Colts will face off against the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Colts fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Saturday's season opener. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Northwest on Saturday.

Meanwhile, St. Vincent-St. Mary gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Field 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Fighting Irish have posted since April 22, 2024.

St. Vincent-St. Mary's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Justin Pytash, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
