Volleyball Recap: Stagg Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Stagg won the last time they faced Andrew and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Chargers came out on top against the Thunderbolts by a score of 2-0. The game was the first time the Chargers have beaten the Thunderbolts on their court since September 30, 2017.

Stagg easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-21.

Katy Zumerchik paced Stagg's offense, picking up 14 kills. Zumerchik got some help from Maggie Gasienica and her 25 assists. Gasienica was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Stagg is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Andrew, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Coming up, Stagg will welcome Homewood-Flossmoor at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Andrew, they will be taking part in a tournament against Whitney Young at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
