Basketball Game Preview: Guntersville Wildcats vs. Buckhorn Bucks + How To Watch

The Guntersville Wildcats will face off against the Buckhorn Bucks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated after five games, but that won't be the case come Thursday.

On Monday, Guntersville got the win against Madison Academy by a conclusive 54-34. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Guntersville found their leader in freshman BRISTOL COOK, who went 7-for-16 en route to 17 points along with six blocks and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points COOK has scored all season. Another player making a difference was KENNA'D BUIE, who shot 45% from the field on her way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Guntersville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buckhorn). They put the hurt on Florence with a sharp 74-54 victory on Tuesday. The Bucks not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since January 21st (when they won 67-47).

Buckhorn's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Guntersville, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-0.
