Softball Recap: West Greene Pioneers vs. Jefferson-Morgan Rockets

West Greene won the last time they faced Jefferson-Morgan, and things went their way on Tuesday too. The West Greene Pioneers blew past the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets 14-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for West Greene.

Payton Gilbert was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Gilbert was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Emmaline Beazell was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Ella Scott was another key contributor, going 2-for-5 with five RBI and two doubles.
