 Shamokin Area can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Selinsgrove Seals  a   17-0 shutout. Shamokin Area's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
  EMMA KURTZ made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. KURTZ has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive pitching appearances.  The  victory was  the sixth in a row for Shamokin Area, bringing their record for this year to 13-3. As for Selinsgrove, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record  this season.

As for Selinsgrove, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Shikellamy at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
