Baseball Recap: Manchester Township Comes Up Short

Manchester Township had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 5-18 to make it four. They came up short against the Raritan Rockets, falling 11-0. The Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Raritan, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.

For Raritan's part, the team relied heavily on Matt Melendez, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Melendez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Will Meehan, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

As of now, neither Manchester Township nor Raritan have any future games scheduled.
