Softball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Takes a Loss

If Sunrise Mountain was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Desert Ridge last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs lost 10-2 to the Centennial Coyotes on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Coyotes: they've now lost three in a row.

Sunrise Mountain saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Pruetz, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Sunrise Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Centennial, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6-1.

While Sunrise Mountain had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
