Hoover waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Villa Angela-St. Joseph.

Hoover took Villa Angela-St. Joseph into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 23-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Audrey Ellis paced Hoover's offense, picking up 31 kills. Ellis got some help from Claire Jurica and her 67 assists. Ellis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Hoover has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against St. Vincent-St. Mary on the 23rd. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Cornerstone Christian on the 28th.
