Basketball Game Preview: Wessington Springs Spartans vs. Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks

The Wessington Springs Spartans will challenge the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Wessington Springs is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Wolsey-Wessington just ended the team's 13-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warbirds. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 64-53 win over Gayville-Volin on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Nighthawks.

Tripp-Delmont/Armour now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Wessington Springs, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2.

Wessington Springs was able to grind out a solid victory over Tripp-Delmont/Armour in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 65-53. Does Wessington Springs have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tripp-Delmont/Armour turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
