Volleyball Recap: Gull Lake Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gull Lake can now relate to. They fell just short of the Caledonia Fighting Scots by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Fighting Scots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Among those leading the charge was Avery Seif, who had 18 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September.

Gull Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 20-16-1. As for Caledonia, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-18 record this season.

Gull Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Caledonia, they will head out on the road to square off against Plainwell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
