The Dixie Heights Colonels will face off against the St. Henry Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dixie Heights comes in on four and St. Henry on three.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Dixie Heights and Ludlow have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Colonels put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 9-3 win.
Ian Meyers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Owen Stulz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Dixie Heights: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 12-13 otherwise. Will Steczynski was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Henry). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Ludlow a 10-0 shutout on Sunday. The Crusaders not only won on Sunday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27, 2024 (when they won 12-1).
Luke Lubert was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Popil, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI.
St. Henry hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ludlow struck out eight times.
Dixie Heights' victory bumped their record up to 15-13. As for St. Henry, their win bumped their record up to 7-14.
Dixie Heights was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Henry in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 4-1. Do the Colonels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Crusaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
