Baseball Recap: Saginaw Takes a Loss

Saginaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They came up short against the Aledo Bearcats, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 last Tuesday.

Saginaw's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21-1. As for Aledo, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saginaw will take on Memorial at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mavericks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Rough Riders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Aledo, they will face off against Lake Ridge at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
