Softball Game Preview: Continental Pirates vs. Miller City Wildcats

The Continental Pirates will square off against the Miller City Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Continental is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Hicksville just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 5-0 to the Aces.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Miller City challenged McComb on Friday. The Wildcats lost 11-3 to the Panthers.

Teagan Rieman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Miller City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Continental, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Continental came out on top in a nail-biter against Miller City in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
