Football Game Preview: McCloud vs. Westwood

Westwood have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on McCloud at 6:00 PM. The teams have set a high bar for this game after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.

Westwood had to kick off their season on the road three weeks ago, but they showed no ill effects. They took the contest and then some with a 54-6 victory over Butte Valley.

Meanwhile, McCloud were fully in charge last Thursday, breezing past Butte Valley 63-0. With McCloud ahead 50-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Their wins bumped McCloud to 2-0 and Westwood to 1-0. In their win, McCloud relied heavily on sophomore Zach Dutton, who picked up 162 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs; a key strategy for Westwood will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
