Volleyball Game Preview: Eagle Valley Devils vs. Glenwood Springs Demons + Official Tickets

The Eagle Valley Devils will head out to challenge the Glenwood Springs Demons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Eagle Valley has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Glenwood Springs will arrive with five straight wins.

Last Thursday, Eagle Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Delta and fell 3-2. While the Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-19 in the first set.

Eagle Valley wouldn't go down easily and took Delta into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 16-14.

Lizzy Martin put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 23 digs.

Meanwhile, Glenwood Springs was able to grind out a solid victory over Steamboat Springs on Saturday, taking the game 3-1.

Glenwood Springs walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 16-25, 25-15, 25-22.

Eagle Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Glenwood Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.
