Baseball Game Preview: Corydon Central Panthers vs. North Harrison Cougars

The Corydon Central Panthers will head out to take on the North Harrison Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither Corydon Central nor North Harrison posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Corydon Central is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They lost 10-1 to Madison. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered against the Cubs since May 8, 2021.

Meanwhile, North Harrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Evansville Harrison.

Corydon Central now has a losing record of 6-7. As for North Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Corydon Central couldn't quite get it done against North Harrison in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 9-5. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
