Volleyball Recap: Cypress Ranch Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cypress Ranch had no problem doing just that on Monday. They skirted past The Woodlands Highlanders 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Sade Bello paced Cypress Ranch's offense, picking up 22 kills. Bello got some help from Zora Bello and her 29 assists. Zora also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaylee Parker, each putting up two.

The Woodlands' loss came despite strong showings from Ava Gibbs and Olivia Hertel. Gibbs had 27 digs and two assists, while Hertel had 19 digs and two aces. Gibbs has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 39 times she's played.

Cypress Ranch's win bumped their record up to 37-8. As for The Woodlands, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 23-19.

Cypress Ranch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Rockwall on the 6th. The Woodlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
