Baseball Recap: Amphitheater Comes Up Short

Amphitheater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 24-0 to the Douglas Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 15-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Amphitheater saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Varela, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Amphitheater's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Douglas, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8-1.

While Amphitheater had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
