Baseball Recap: Basha Comes Up Short

Basha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 8-1 to the Casteel Colts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 on Tuesday.

Basha saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Bolles, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Basha's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Casteel, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Basha will take on Corona del Sol at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Casteel, they will face off against Desert Vista at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Colts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunder have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
