Baseball Recap: Front Range Christian's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Front Range Christian extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 9-5 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Estes Park Bobcats. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Haedan Morton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Front Range Christian is 6-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Morton was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Morton wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Max Morton, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

As for Estes Park, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only three runs.

On Estes Park's side, Isaac Hill was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was Hill's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Kearney, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Front Range Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against Estes Park: the pair will be back at it again later today.
