Basketball Recap: Hertford County Falls Short of Seaforth in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hertford County can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 74-31 loss at the hands of the Seaforth Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bears have suffered since January 18th.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Janiah Everette, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Jameilya Lewis, who scored four points.

Hertford County now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Seaforth, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-2.

Hertford County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seaforth, they will take on East Duplin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Seaforth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
