Football Recap: Daleville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Daleville managed to keep up with Opp until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Warhawks came up short against the Bobcats, falling 48-24. The Warhawks haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Ja' Veon McLeod threw for 30 yards. Alec Blane was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Opp to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brandyn Washington, who rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. DJ Hines was another key pass catcher, picking up 70 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Daleville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Opp, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Daleville will welcome Wicksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Warhawks' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Opp, they will be playing at home against Destin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will be up against the Sharks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
