Football Recap: Pueblo East Starts Season with Victory on the Road + How To Watch

Pueblo East had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over the Fort Morgan Mustangs. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Dolphka Lewis looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Brendon Andrada, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Fort Morgan still got an impressive performance from Jj Marquez, who rushed for 46 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 129 yards on 11 of 20 attempts.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pueblo East will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Discovery Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Fort Morgan, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Brush at 7:00 p.m.
