Softball Recap: Wiregrass Ranch Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Wiregrass Ranch entered their tilt with Pasco on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-0 back in March.

Reagan Beagle was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.

In other pitching news, Kylie Glatfelter looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Zechmann, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Chloe Troupe, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Wiregrass Ranch pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pasco, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wiregrass Ranch will square off against Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pasco, they will take on Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
