Baseball Recap: Burke Comes Up Short

Burke lost against Gretna East two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Griffins, falling 10-4. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brayden Pickett was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Burke's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Gretna East, their record now sits at 7-5.

Burke didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-12 defeat against Elkhorn North on the 12th. As for Gretna East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-2 loss against Bellevue West on the 12th.
