West Jones is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Northeast Jones just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Stringer ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Lumberton by a score of 9-6. The Red Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

West Jones now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Stringer, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season.

West Jones came out on top in a nail-biter against Stringer in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
