Football Game Preview: Riverdale Raiders vs. East Lake Eagles

The Riverdale Raiders will venture away from home to take on the East Lake Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverdale's defense has only allowed 6.9 points per game this season, so East Lake's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Riverdale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Lehigh get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Raiders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Lightning are ranked 325th).

Meanwhile, a win is a win, as they say, even a pretty close 6-0 win over Manatee. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

East Lake's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. Mia Melton was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by herself.

Riverdale's record now sits at 9-3. As for East Lake, their record is now 11-4.
